Tom Brady’s chase for titles won him seven rings, and the wolf is still eying for one more in his 23rd NFL season. Just like his huge fanbase, the greatest quarterback of all time enjoys a long list of haters. And guess what? One more entity secures a spot in that list who had actually seen the other side of Tom Brady getting ‘super arrogant’ on the field.

The former Giants placekicker Lawrence Tynes recently opened up about his perception against the passer. Although it was not hatred towards Brady as a person, the veteran mentioned that it was out of respect and awe watching the quarterback simmering full of aggression and showcasing his confidence. It was the Super Bowl game of 2008, and Brady was on the hunt for his fourth title.

Luckily, Tynes was on the other side with Eli Manning. They eventually went on to win the championship, slaying the Patriots, who were perfect the entire season with a record of 18-0. “It was nothing personal. But because he is kind of the ‘golden child of the NFL, and with a team that continues to win,” Tynes confessed his perception.

“There was some natural respectful hate, if that even makes sense, towards Tom Brady because he was super arrogant leading up to the week of the game, you know? Plaxico [Burress] had made a statement about the score, and then Tom said something like, ‘You mean we’re only going to score 14 points?’” He added.

Even though Eli Manning retired from the game, Brady is still pursuing the sport playing in his prime. While speaking in an interview, the former Giants quarterback mentioned that he got no right to draw comparisons with Brady. But revealed that the Seven-time Super Bowl was still mad at him for the loss.

“I’ve been around Tom numerous times, and I’ve never brought up a Super Bowl or our games versus them. He actually brings it up. It still bothers him a little bit,” he said about Brady’s behavior, talking about the loss.
