The NFL preseason is rolling on, and with it comes a flurry of suspense, predictions, and opinions. Be it speculations about the performance of high-profile rookies, or outlandish predictions, one thing is clear: there is no shortage of excitement, entertainment, and anticipation. Living by this creed, the NFL is no stranger to drama, and it seems to only amplify with every passing season.
But with ample entertainment come sporadic controversies. Likewise, a recent incident has left fans scratching their heads and Jacksonville Jaguars star player Trevor Lawrence infuriated. It is unusual for him to be so active on social media, but the QB could not resist on Thursday morning. All this drama happened on Kyle Brandt?s NFL Network show – Good Morning Football, which featured his few guests too.

Lawrence takes the show game to the NFL field
Here?s what happened: NFL Network held a segment in which the host, Kyle Brandt, according to his analysis, ranked this season?s AFC starting quarterbacks from tiers one to seven, with one being the highest. He ranked Patrick Mahomes at no. 1 and the Jaguars star at no. 6, along with Pittsburgh Steelers? Kenny Pickett, New England Patriots? Mac Jones, and Miami Dolphins? Tua Tagovailoa.

In the show, Brandt said about his chosen rank for Lawrence, ?Lawrence was the most popular response on Twitter.? He added, ??How could you have Trevor Lawrence there?? I love him, like most of us do??.wins a playoff game, despite playing terribly in the first half, then makes the comeback. So, it?s complicated.? He was talking about Lawrence?s four-interception throws’ in a wild-card game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Brandt also referred to the sixth row as ?underclassmen – but they are going up fast.? To all of these, Lawrence got furious and retweets the uploaded show with a line – ?The game ain?t played on paper.? In his tweet, netizens chimed in with opinions, with some favoring him and many others opposing him.
The questionable ranking drew social media users
?Trevor is waaaaaaaay too low here. He will get the respect he deserves this year,? one user wrote.
Another user said, ?Are you kidding me? How is @Trevorlawrencee not at least in the 4 slot….?
Some of Lawrence?s devoted fans also participated. ne commented, ?After what you did to my Chargers last year, I’d put you at tier 2, ready to jump to tier 1. That was a game, and I don’t think a QB ever earned my respect at keeping his head in the game and playing to his ability like you did.?
