Injury scares have hit the two teams preparing for the ultimate Super Bowl game next week. While Patrick Mahomes struggles with a sprained ankle, his counterpart, Jalen Hurts, is battling a shoulder injury. To give more insights on their health status, NFL insider Ian Rapoport analyzed the situation and dropped an update on the Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman.

For the past couple of weeks, KC Chiefs and the Eagles have incurred several setbacks as injuries. Although they got past all those hindrances and secured a Super Bowl berth, the unavailability of prominent players might prove a major challenge in accomplishing their title aspirations. Rapoport believes the condition of Mecole Hardman is doubtful, as the pelvic injury is much more intensive than it seems.

One of the big names that seem may have been on track to miss the Super Bowl is Mecole Hardman. He’s dealing with a pelvic injury. Colleague Mike Garafolo describes it as a core muscle injury,” Rapoport said in a recent media interaction. This news instantly spread like a wildfire on social media, leaving the fans worried about the game.

The Georgia product suffered a similar setback in Week 9, missing a significant number of games since then. He made his way back into the team during the AFC championship game against the Bengals but unfortunately left the field, suffering another injury.

Similarly, the condition looks depressing for other quarterbacks. Mahomes sprained his ankle during the divisional round game against the Jaguars and Hurts suffered a big blow to his throwing shoulder in Week 15 match-up against the Bears. Despite taking severe hits, these gunslingers continued to perform in the subsequent weeks. And guess what? they have no intentions to stay back.

“I don’t think I had any step backward, a reaggravation of the ankle. A little pain playing with it but other than that, I feel like I’m in a good spot,” Mahomes said about the injury, per The AP News.

The Eagles quarterback resonated with a similar thought about his availability. “I’m getting there. I’ve made it clear this whole time it’s something I’m dealing with,” Hurts said, per The ProFootballtalk. Despite such concerns, it is going to be an interesting game.
