Patrick Mahomes had a great outing against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Sunday night. The 27-year-old led his team to a thumping 41-31 win to keep their campaign in high spirits. Mahomes was relaxed as he appeared for the presser, where he discussed many key points.

The Chiefs superstar does not buy the argument that he has played his last game against TB12. Mahomes added he has been hearing this many times. He stated the exact time when he’ll believe the retirement news. I mean it’s short, I see him in the off-season a lot now, I think I’ve said this earlier in the week to some interview, I feel like I’ve had the last game against Tom Brady like four times now. So it’s until he is not on that field when I step on the field, I’m not going to believe it’s my last game against him,” Mahomes pointed out.

How Mahomes and Co. beat Buccaneers

PM15 also achieved a unique record during the game. The talented star became the faster QB to reach 20,000 passing yards. He did so in 67 games, an NFL record.

Patrick Mahomes pinpoints why this win is special 

The new NFL sensation thinks a win against the Buccaneers could steer them to better performance for the entire season. He lauded Brady and Co. and acknowledged them as a great team. “That’s a great football team. I mean, that’s a great defense, a great team led by the best quarterback of all time. So coming to their house and find a way to score some points and find a way to win gets you kind of hopefully get your kick-start into the rest of the year,” Mahomes added.
