The death of legend John Madden proved to be the biggest shock to the world of football. He was an ambassador of the NFL and an icon of the league, and his demise has left the community mourning. He was a popular broadcaster and a Super Bowl-winning head coach for the Oakland Raiders.
To honor Madden for his great legacy with the Raiders, the franchise has decided to pay him last respects during their season finale game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The franchise announced that Madden family will light the Al Davis Memorial Torch prior to the kickoff.

John Madden is still very much alive in the Allegiant Stadium
This is going to be one of the many ways in which the organization is preparing to say goodbye to the legend. As per the team’s website, fans with tickets will have a chance to view the famous Madden Cruiser from the inside out. That bus is of great significance to the late coach Madden.
“The bus, which became his road office, logged 80,000 miles annually, transporting Madden to his broadcast gigs across the country after he decided he no longer wanted to fly.”
Furthermore, they will also be able to witness an interactive timeline display showcasing special moments in Madden’s career. And also they will be able to write down their thoughts, wishes, and prayers to coach Madden on wall structures. These structures will be “found at the Modelo Tailgate Zone located inside the Southwest Entry Gate, on the North Plaza Platform located inside the Ford North Entry Gate and at the Madden Cruiser location on the west side of Allegiant Stadium.”

However, for the Raiders the greatest way to pay homage to Madden would be to make the playoffs. And considering that the Raiders still have a 9-7 record as they meet their divisional rivals Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers who are also in a 9-7 record will give a tough competition to the home team.
