The San Francisco 49ers are going through a spectacular season this year. To spice up the celebrations, the newcomers arranged rookie dinners trying to please their Vets. However, things went out of control for youngsters like Drake Jackson, who received a huge bill of around $300,000 after the party. Fans couldn’t believe this figure and roasted the seniors for spending so much at once.

For an athlete, who receives less than one million a year, it becomes difficult to manage both families and work in the Bay Area. The USC product Drake Jackson falls under this category and barely makes around $600,000 after the tax reductions. Thus handing him a bill of $300,000 nearly wipes out half of his salary, something that puzzled the fans. Netizens’ anger knew no bounds as they called out the veterans.

“Y’all silly if you thought a dinner can cost 300k. It was a prank. The waitress went overboard. The dinner was 7500 me and 2 other vets gave 1k towards it. The rooks split 4500. We had a great time too. I had good vets as a young player I would never do a rookie like that,” he wrote on Twitter.
