Lamar Jackson and his contract situation are undeniably hot at the moment. The Ravens failed to entice him with a number that could have solidified the franchise for the future. However, it looks like the Ravens QB does not want to deal with questions related to his contract. To tackle them, Jackson had a hilarious technique so that the reporters would not ask the same.

The Wednesday press conference saw Lamar Jackson in front of the Maryland reporters. They had a lot of questions, but failing to reach a contract extension was the prime one. The QB isn’t having any of it. However, he kept some popcorn handy to avoid contract questions.

 

Lamar Jackson brought a packet of popcorn to Wednesday’s press conference. He offered it to reporters for free if they answered good questions. That indicated that there would be no contractual conversations. He addressed, “I’m passing out popcorns. If you got a good question, you get popcorn. Shake is mine”

The Baltimore Ravens QB added he has finished speaking about it respectfully. He planned to wrap it up in Week 1. Week one is complete, and they are done talking about it. Jackson is now concentrating on the Dolphins game. Another reporter attempted to put Jackson to the check, but he turned it down. Moreover, he told the reporters three times that he would not talk about it.

As per ESPN, Jackson told Dianna Russini that he turned down an offer that contained guaranteed money ranging from $160 million to $180 million. It came after the Ravens’ 24-9 triumph over the Jets on Sunday.

Lamar Jackson completely humiliated the Jets‘ defense with three touchdown passes in the season opener. The Ravens quarterback gained only 17 yards on the ground. Despite this, he tossed three touchdowns and finished with a passer rating of 98.3. The touchdown throws came on three of four entire possessions, including a 55-yard bomb to Rashad Bateman late in the third quarter.

Throughout the game, Jackson showed up strong, and his throwing arm carried out the rest of the game. The Ravens’ offense was heavy, which swept their way to the victory. The Ravens looked stronger over the lacklustre Jets lineup. There are chances of him getting the long-term deal after the season if Jackson delivers a strong performance.
