Amid rumors that the Seattle Seahawks might release the star wide receiver, DK Metcalf, from their roster, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a special message for him.

After Russell Wilson got traded from the Seahawks, it seems the club is rebuilding their team. Recently, Tyler Lockett was rumored to be on the trade block, and now Metcalf’s trade would fuel the Seahawks’ intentions to recruit new players into the team.

Lamar Jackson tries to lure DK Metcalf via Twitter

One of the many teams interested in DK Metcalf is the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was the first person to approach the Pro Bowl wide receiver with a recruitment request. “[DK Metcalf] slide (up). We got them Guyz, but you can slide to we welcome everyone here with open arms you one of them Guyz as well,” Jackson tweeted the message on Sunday.

A few moments later, in a follow-up tweet, the Ravens QB took back the tweet, speculating people would make up twisted stories surrounding Metcalf and his interest in recruiting him.

As it said, never say never to the opportunities in life. A few days ago, ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini reported that the Seahawks are not willing to trade their star receiver to any other teams.

But, if a suitable price tag fits for him, the Seahawks may pull the trigger. Without players like DK Metcalf, quarterback Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett in the team, the only wiser option left with the club is to drop the talents with upcoming contracts and rebuild the future.

In the current scenario, the Baltimore Ravens have a surplus of talents in the receiver corps. However, a player like Metcalf would never be a burden to the team, because he can help youngsters like Marquise Browns, Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay create magic alongside him. In the previous season, Marquise Browns and tight end Mark Andrews both had over 1,000 receiving yards and combined for 15 touchdowns, a record in the history of the NFL.

Even if he has a hefty price tag, Metcalf brings the size and speed combinations that the Ravens need at this point. As far as the price tag is concerned, speculators claim that it would cost the Ravens their No.14 pick and a few of their 4th-round picks.

Moreover, Ravens can also fork up around $20 million annually to retain him for their long-term ambitions. All in all, hiring Metcalf would bolster the Ravens’ offense with Lamar Jackson getting a space to open his arms wide in the upcoming season.
