According to Jeremy Fowler, even though there have been no offers for Lamar Jackson after the team tagged him as non-exclusive, this does not rule out the possibility that there are teams who will like to acquire the talented young quarterback. Jackson has been riddled with injuries throughout the past few months, but his capabilities as a player are still undoubtedly one of the best in the NFL at present times. Fowler said that The Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots are wild-card favorites to sign the quarterback, as they are teams who rely on their offensive capabilities. The addition of Lamar Jackson will bolster their offensive arsenal for the 2023 season.

Fowler said, “And then you got some wild card like Tennessee or New England. Teams that like to run the ball. You never know.” Apart from Folwer, another NFL insider, Dan Graziano, hinted at the possibility that Jackson might head to the Patriots for the 2023 season.

It is not just Fowler or Graziano who feel that the Patriots might be the place for the quarterback. Former Patriots player Rob Ninkovich also stated how if the team signs Jackson, then they boost their chances of a Super Bowl in the coming season.

The Jackson trade multiverse

Even if there are not a lot of teams currently in the race to acquire Lamar Jackson, there are certain teams who are eyeing that direction in this free agency. The Indianapolis Colts are one of the teams who are maybe planning out a viable path to acquire Jackson. They recently traded Stephon Gilmore, clearing up the required cap space to think about acquiring Jackson.

While the standoff between Jackson and the Ravens continues, his future in the NFL is undecided. The Ravens are not ready to agree with Jackson’s demands for a fully guaranteed deal. Does this mean that Jackson will be a part of the Patriots? Or will there be a surprise offer made by a team that will leave fans shell-shocked? We will only know with time.
