Last week, the Baltimore Ravens faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs in a pulsating encounter with the former emerging victorious. While the match was won by the Ravens, it did not reflect the story of the match. Lamar Jackson slayed the Chiefs with a brilliant performance.
Earlier in the match, the Chiefs were leading by 11 points, thanks to brilliant performances by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. But things changed in the last quarter when the Ravens mounted a spirited comeback. Their determination and desire in the final quarter helped them clinch the victory against the Chiefs. The final scorecard was Baltimore Ravens 36-35 KC Chiefs. Lamar Jackson was the pick of the lot from the Ravens.

Ravens’ star quarterback misses practice
The Baltimore Ravens confirmed that their star quarterback had missed the practice session this Thursday. Immediately, people began relating Lamar’s absence to the celebratory flip he had performed against the KC Chiefs. It was later revealed that he had a stomach bug, which forced him to miss practice.
This marks Jackson’s fourth consecutive year in his illustrious NFL career where he has missed at least a single practice session because of an illness. Despite that, Jackson has never been sidelined from a game due to an injury. The only two times he did not play for Baltimore was the game after Ravens had secured the top seed in 2019, and when he had tested positive for COVID-19 before the match against Pittsburgh.

Lamar Jackson won’t miss the clash against Detroit Lions
Despite the quarterback missing the practice session, Lamar Jackson is most likely going to be available for the Ravens. A source close to the team has confirmed this to ESPN. “Jackson is “all fine” for Sunday’s game at the Detroit Lions,” the source confided.

Lamar Jackson’s absence would’ve been devastating for the Ravens. The 2019 NFL MVP has been 30-8 since he took over as the starting quarterback of the Ravens in 2018. He recorded history last Sunday when he recorded the most games in NFL history with at least 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing.
