Week 14 was rough for the Baltimore Ravens. Not only did they lose to the Cleveland Browns, but their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, suffered an injury. Jackson sprained his right ankle last night. He could possibly be out again.

Is Lamar Jackson out again?

Lamar Jackson has recently made his comeback. He was out due to a non-Covid related sickness. The former MVP is not having the greatest luck this season because he has sprained his ankle. Last week, he stepped on the yard marker and rolled his ankle after running out of bounds. Jackson had his ankle taped all throughout the week.

The injury got worse in the game last night. Jackson hurt his foot while making the first play of the second quarter. Just as he threw the ball to Mark Andrews, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Browns linebacker, tackled Jackson. Jeremiah dove a little too low. He caught the lower right part of Jackson’s leg. Lamar fell to the ground and immediately grabbed his ankle.

Jackson has been diagnosed with a low ankle sprain. After the game, Lamar walked out of the locker room wearing a protective boot. Ravens head coach said, “We’ll look at it more, and we’ll see where we’re at,” when the reporters asked if Jackson will undergo any tests he said,  “We’ll see how he responds, we’ll see how it responds.”

The last time Lamar Jackson missed an NFL game because of an injury was four years ago. In 2019, Jackson saw Baltimore’s season finale from the sidelines. The Ravens had already reached the top spot that year. Knowing the determination of Jackson, he will try to fight back and return to action soon.

The fans are confident that the Ravens will make the playoffs this year with or without their star quarterback. They are already on the top of the AFC North table, but with only one win. If they want to stay on the top, the Ravens will have to fight hard without Jackson. Baltimore is a strong contender to win the Super Bowl this season. If they reach the finals, the Ravens will need a top-class offensive lineup. They cannot afford to lose their star quarterback. And Lamar Jackson would really hate it if he could not play that game. For now, he must rest and focus on healing his current injury. The fans are confident that Jackson will come back stronger than ever.
