The Lamar Jackson contract situation with the Ravens has been one of the major topics of discussion among NFL experts and fans. Earlier, the Baltimore team put a non-exclusive franchise tag on the quarterback, which meant he could negotiate with other teams. However, not many teams have shown interest in signing the 26-year-old QB. Meanwhile, all the outside noises are not bothering Jackson, as he made it clear with a recent social media post.
Notably, Jackson often uses social media to convey a message to his fans and possibly to shut down unnecessary noise. Previously, there were a lot of rumors about him intentionally sitting out during the latter half of the 2022 season. That time he took to Twitter and clarified his injury status. Now, it seems like he has made another statement with this recent post.

Earlier, the Ravens QB took to Instagram and posted a picture of Hollywood celebrity and stand-up comedian, Kevin Hart, on his story. The picture also had Hart wearing some noise-canceling large headphones. In the caption of the post, he wrote, “Me blocking outside noise.” The story has expired as of now.
Safe to say, Jackson is closing his ears, as implied in the picture he posted to shut down all the rumors about his contract situation with the Ravens. However, it is alarming for the young QB and former MVP that many teams have pulled out of negotiation with him.
Notably, Jackson reportedly has been trying to get a fully guaranteed contract from the Ravens after the recent Deshaun Watson deal with the Browns. Now it seems like no team is willing to give him what he wants. And the Ravens possibly wanted Jackson to find out his market value by himself because he is still representing himself without an agent. That was probably the main reason Ravens put a non-exclusive tag on him.

Although the Ravens put a nonexclusive tag, Jackson has to wait till Wednesday to start his negotiation with other teams. Currently, there are reportedly no suitors for Jackson; however, it can certainly change in the next few days.
In that case, the Ravens are taking a massive gamble with the former MVP. On the other hand, the Baltimore team can match any offer Jackson receives. Otherwise, they have to give up Jackson for a possible two first-round picks. Despite all this, one thing is pretty sure Jackson will find it extremely difficult to get a fully guaranteed contract.
