Sean McVay Hopes To Never See Tom Brady In The NFL Again

It’s revenge time for Tom Brady and a chance to improve his season record when he meets the LA Rams at Raymond James Stadium in Week 9. After last season’s playoff loss, a lot has changed for Brady and Co. However, his legacy is still undiminished, as Sean McVay mentions in the latest interview ahead of the clash.

Ever since Tom Brady shifted his base from New England Patriots to the Buccaneers, the Seven-time Super Bowl Champion couldn’t defeat the Matthew Stafford-led side.

Above all, it’s time for him to finish his ‘unfinished business’ he mentioned on his comeback note after a brief 40 days retirement. The wound is still fresh, but Brady will be looking for more than just avenging his loss. Currently, his squad is going through a slump, with most of the players hit by season-ending injuries.

With only three wins, the team is entering Week 9, eying for a playoff entry. Thus, wins are necessary to keep those aspirations alive. Meanwhile, the Rams head coach Sean McVay kept the veteran quarterback in high regard facing him this week.

While speaking in an interview, he explained about facing Tom Brady for probably one last time in the regular season. “I’m hoping so. You know, I mean, he’s incredible. The ability to sustain and play at such a high level over the period of time throughout the course of his career is unprecedented.” McVay praised the quarterback when asked if he was expecting Brady to finally retire after this season. “He’s the ultimate competitor. You know, this is a this is a great Bucs team.”

“They’re in a similar situation where maybe some frustrating things going on that haven’t led them to the performance or the way that they want to very similar to us. And I do believe, and without a doubt, that they’ll be ready to go,” he added to his explanation.

Tom Brady to unlock a new milestone in his career

Just like how the fans would expect the game to be an eventful encounter if lucky, the same fans will actually witness Tom Brady reaching 100,000 passing yards (including postseason) with just 164 more needed to unlock this achievement.

“They’re great achievements,” Brady said on the milestone “But as much as people want to say, ‘Oh, this is what Tom Brady did,’ in my mind, this is what myself and all these other people that have contributed to my life have done as well,” he added.
