Any social media user on the internet might stumble upon a report or quote which may target an entity. It makes sense that the spouses of prominent athletes would uphold their honor in front of naysayers. However, in the prevailing digital environment, it’s hard to determine if a remark is authentic or not. That’s how Kelly, wife of Matthew Stafford, faced embarrassment when she stumbled upon a made-up Aaron Rodgers statement.

Aaron Rodgers became an offseason highlight reel. His offseason shenanigans gave the fans some off-game entertainment. However, this one specifically had everyone in splits. It involves him, Matthew Stafford’s better half, Kelly, and Kirk Cousins. Mrs. Stafford became a subject of hilarity because she fell prey to a parody Twitter account.

A fake Aaron Rodgers quote began circulating from a parody NFL news account. The account uploads a fake statement showcasing A-Rod praising Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins. The phony remark meant that Cousins would have flourished while playing for Stafford’s former team, the Detroit Lions.

Although she did not agree to the same and eventually fell into the fake news trap. Indeed, it is not uncommon to fall for a made-up quote; it was just Kelly Stafford who took the bait.

As per the New York Post, Kelly shares a screenshot and mentions in her Instagram Stories, “Ya you’re wrong. Maybe the Bears, maybe.”

There’s no denial that Matthew Stafford gave out good numbers despite having a subpar roster. Kelly’s defense of her hubby’s performance in Detroit makes sense.

Matthew Stafford had a meteoric rise after the trade to the L.A. Rams. He might be Tampa Born, but his fame in Los Angeles and Detroit is unmatchable. He pulled up an incredible comeback play and became the 2011 comeback player of the year. During his time in the Detroit Lions, Stafford played 165 games with a record of 74-90-01. He gained 45,109 passing yards and 282 TDs with a 62.6 completion percentage.

Matt was a star in the Lions. However, he did not have a good enough team to back him up from both ends of the ball. Only the 2012 season allowed Matthew Stafford to be held accountable for the team’s shortcomings; the other seasons in Detroit were not his faults. The rushing offenses and defense he received from the Lions have routinely been among the bottom of the league.
