Odell Beckham Jr. gets forced out of action after picking up a tragic knee injury during his dream game. OBJ started hot against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl LVI. He scored the first touchdown of the game while making a couple of crucial first down catches.

However, his dream run has come to a tragic end just ahead of halftime at SoFi. He was proving to be the favorite target for quarterback Matthew Stafford in the early moments of the game but ended up picking up a non-contact knee injury.
Odell Beckham Jr. ruled out of Super Bowl LVI
The wideout collapsed on the turf after he dropped a pass and landed in an awkward position on his left leg. The former Giants superstar was assisted to the sidelines after the injury. According to CBS Sports, OBJ paid a quick visit to the medical tent as he exited the field in the second quarter of the game before heading towards his locker room with a trainer carrying his helmet.

OBJ was officially ruled out of the game in the third quarter, ending his impressive campaign. Beckham picked up the injury in the same knee (left) in which he injured his ACL during his 2020 season with the Cleveland Browns. It’s yet to be seen if has suffered another prolonged injury in the same knee. However, during his absence, Matthew Stafford turns to wideouts Van Jefferson and Cooper Kupp to get the ball down the stretch.
OBJ is scheduled to hit free agency after this season. And it will be quite a turmoil for the 29-year-old this offseason. One yet needs to see what future does he hold in the NFL based on the status of his injured knee.
