The 2-time Super Bowl winner Kyle Van Noy spent the 2020 NFL season with AFC East franchise Miami Dolphins. The veteran linebacker signed a 4-year, $51 million contract that included $30 million in guarantees. He also bagged a smooth signing bonus of $12 million last year.

However, the former Detroit Lions and New England Patriots star was released by the Dolphins following just 1 year with the franchise.

In an interview with NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Van Noy revealed that he was ‘surprised and disappointed’ when he got the news about his dismissal. So what lies next for the former 2nd-round pick from BYU?

Linebacker Kyle Von Noy released by Miami Dolphins

In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Kyle Van Noy appeared to hint that NFC East franchise New York Giants could be his next possible destination in the NFL.

The veteran linebacker heaped praise on Giants coach Joe Judge while added that they can challenge for major honors in 2021.

“He’s a ball of energy if he can take this energy he has, and consistently each and every day, line it up with that positive energy and not go ‘Whoo’ all over the place. I think they’re gonna be really, really good because he’s a really good coach.

“He loves football. That’s not me selling him. Straight back, he loves football. I mean his country. So speaking, he’s all over the country.

“So when he gets his money, he loves football. I’m excited for him with the Giants, Go Giants right?” Van Noy said on the show.

The Giants have a strong quarterback in the form of Daniel Jones. However, he is yet to reach the levels of Josh Allen, Kyler Murray, and even Baker Mayfield. But the return of RB Saquon Barkley could make them strong challengers for the NFC East crown in 2021.

In addition to that, the New York-based franchise owns the 11th and 42nd overall pick in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. They could make some strong additions to their already impressive roster this summer. This might be a smart decision by Van Noy after all.
