After a massive transaction, Christian McCaffrey is now the freshest member of San Francisco. Moreover, with him landing in the Bay Area, the franchise would have a big game at Levi’s Stadium. But will CMC make his debut in Week 7?

Christian McCaffrey is making a triumphant return to California, where he excelled during his university education at Stanford. The San Francisco 49ers attack now has another playmaker. Furthermore, it could be the element that propels them into the playoffs. However, McCaffreys’s status is still in a dilemma for the Chiefs game, and Kyle Shanahan gave some perspective on it.

HC Kyle Shanahan mentioned, “I’m still up in the air whether we’re going to be able to get him here for Sunday or not. I know for sure he’ll be here the following Sunday. But that’s kind of why I’m in a wait-and-see approach right now. I’m not sure at all [about Sunday]. This happened so fast, and we’ve just got to see where he’s at.”

Shanahan also expressed that hearing McCaffrey would join the offense gave him a broad grin. However, he then considered rewriting Sunday’s plans for third downs, red zone plays, and other aspects before recognizing something else. CMC needs to come in and is yet to complete the physical.

Moreover, if any faithful ones think of the CMC trade as a short-term or a rental situation, they might be wrong. Kyle Shanahan assured the McCaffrey deal is not a rental. He’ll be here contractually. The San Francisco 49ers‘ front office does not have to take any chances in February.

Christian McCaffrey is under contract with the NFL until the 2025 season. The 49ers will pay him $690,000 this season and would earn $12 million, $12 million, and $12.2 million over the next three seasons. However, it is yet to see if the dual-threat RB makes his debut as a 49er in the season.
