Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers might be two of the greatest quarterbacks to play the sport. However, their recent slump has overshadowed all their past achievements. According to the Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, it’s time for both the passers to walk away with a bunch of glamorous records.

The former Cardinals QB has been in a similar situation and happens to be the right person to suggest. Both Rodgers and Brady have their own share of struggles and reasons that reflect on their performance.

The teams that were favorites to contend for the Super Bowl have gone down with back-to-back losses. Warner claims that the duo was exhausted, and it was time to focus on their second phase of life. “I think both of those guys look like they’re exhausted,” said the former QB.

“It’s OK to go, ‘You know what? It’s not how it used to be. I may not be who I used to be, or, it’s just too hard overall to get everybody up to the standard. Maybe it is time to walk away,'” he added.

Currently, Brady and Co. have gone down to 3-5 after Week 8, and Rodgers 3-4 after his Week 7 performance. Lack of execution and inability to utilize their weapons were some of the reasons behind their slack. However, experts believe that their off-field responsibilities are bothering them more, and as a result, they can’t concentrate on the game.

The 51-year-old has gone through a lot before calling it quits in 2009. He had a flourishing career of 12 seasons and understands what it’s like to remain on the top. However, in the end, it’s about balancing life.

Warner went through a similar dilemma just like Brady, with a wife and seven children. “As I was going through the last couple years, it was becoming more and more prevalent that, ‘Okay, this is taking too much from me, and it’s not just about enjoying the game anymore,'” Warner mentioned about the feeling he had in the final stages.
