As the NFL’s regular season is getting closer to its end, the MVP conversation has already started. Many teams are playing exceptional football at the moment, including the Chiefs, the Eagles, the Bills, and some others as well.
Apart from them, the Vikings surprised pretty much everyone this season and the performance of Kirk Cousins elated them. The veteran quarterback has helped his team massively, as they have dominated the NFC North division this season.

After his amazing season so far, many experts and fans are considering him a potential MVP candidate. The statistics don’t lie, as Cousins posted some incredible numbers, which helped his team, particularly in the fourth quarter.
Kirk Cousins’ amazing season could lead him to his first MVP award
According to the latest statistics, Cousins is leading the NFL with the most fourth-quarter comebacks in the season, i.e. 6. Apart from that, he also has 6 game-winning drives this season, which is the most.

Moreover, he threw 2760 yards for 17 touchdowns in 11 games; he also has 2 rushing TDs as well. In terms of personal statistics, his last season was far better. However, his team is performing really well this season and could go all the way.
Certainly, his numbers are not insane like Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen. But his team is doing everything right at the moment and Cousins is also playing his part. They could be a surprise team in the Super Bowl like the Bengals were last year. If Cousins win the Super Bowl, he could snatch the MVP award from Allen or Mahomes or any other player.
NFL fans react to the Cousins’ MVP conversation
Sunday Night Football posted the MVP question and fans had their say about the whole matter. One fan thinks Cousins should not be in the MVP conversation unless he reaches the Super Bowl.
No. The Vikings have to get to the Super Bowl, or it's a failure. Why? Because Case Keenum got them to the NFC Championship game and didn't cost 84 million guaranteed. Only if the Vikings reach the Super Bowl is Cousins in the conversation for MVP!

Another fan expressed the same opinion, as the fan believes Cousins is not raising the bar with his performances.
He is playing really well and ya love to see it, but he isn’t raising the tide of that franchise like an MVP does. The tide is already high there as they’re a really good team and he’s not lowering it with bad play, but not raising it with great play. He ain’t like the others.

One fan felt sad for Cousins, as that person thinks Cousins should be in the MVP conversation; however, he doesn’t have the statistics.
he should be but sadly he doesn’t have the stats people think are required

One fan gave credit to the young wide receiver Justin Jefferson for the success of the Vikings.
Let’s be honest… Kirk ain’t doin it alone… we see who’s making those catches… pic.twitter.com/cLtTqiS2XH

Another fan thinks Jefferson should become the MVP.
Nope but Justin Jefferson is.

One Twitter user feels Cousins is kind of underrated.
He's been a massive part of the Vikes' success this season, but even he would tell you he's not technically at his best right now. He's definitely underrated by people, but you have to give a lot of credit to JJ for his catches.
— Nick Allen (@NickAllen224) December 4, 2022
Interestingly, a few fans backed Cousins to get the MVP award for his great nature on and off the field.
Absolutely. Stand up guy on & off the field. He’s taking more risks this year, scrambling more, & taking some big hits while chucking the deep ball. Doesn’t matter what he does as he’ll never get any respect from the jeyboard warriors.

He doesn’t have the stats, so no. But credit where credit is due. He’s been money in crunch time
