As per FOX19’s Mike Schell, the Bengals RB’s neighbor claimed someone fired shots at juveniles playing in the area with Nerf toy guns. The entity firing the gun may have mistaken the Nerf toys for real firearms. The gunshots reportedly came from the house of Joe Mixon. However, it is unknown who did it, but locals claimed it came from the running back’s house.

After the shooting, authorities stepped into the scene and sealed off Joe Mixon’s house for investigation with crime scene tape. It happened after one juvenile got injured and had to be taken to the hospital.

The RB’s involvement was uncertain. But as per WLWT in Cincinnati’s Mike Dardis, Mixon’s sister Shelonda said the athlete was not involved in the shooting.
