The statement from the NBA All-Star comes from his discussion on the Etcs Podcast with KD. While talking about Rodgers, he states, “A-Rod didn’t turn the ball over. He didn’t make mistakes to put the ball in their hands. So it’s like hard for me to just be like A-Rod could have just.” The feeling and frustration from KD do echo and mirror that of many Packers fans.
The major errors will become the Packers’ peril did come from their special teams’ moments of lapses. The blocking of punts and defending the final crucial field goal with 10 men all were worrying signs early in the season.
Are the Packers failing Aaron Rodgers?
The defeat at their home Lambeau Field did kind of leave their fans in the cold both literally and metaphorically wanting more. An uncanny off-night performance also did take center stage with the Packers’ offensive line failing to protect their QB. The 49ers’ defense was immense in smothering Rodgers and making it difficult to find his passes.
The blame does fall on the whole team which does also include Rodgers in spite of what KD does claim. The franchise did earn a bye week and was well-rested ahead of their game against the 49ers. While the organization did back him with players for a Super Bowl push, they did overlook special teams and didn’t give attention to them.
