The Russell Wilson trade rumors are continuing to pile up week after week. The 32-year-old quarterback has been linked with moves to New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and even the Las Vegas Raiders in recent days.

However, there is no concrete report linking him with a move away from his beloved Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson has been with the Seahawks since joining the NFL in 2012. He was a 3rd-round pick (75th overall) by Pete Carroll and Co.

However, he went on to lead the franchise to their first-ever Super Bowl title in 2014. Since then, Russell Wilson has established himself as one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league.

He finished the 2020 NFL season with 4,200+ passing yards and 31+ passing touchdowns as the Seahawks crashed out in the Wild Card Round.

But with reported complaints regarding the offensive line in Seattle, could Wilson part ways with the Emerald City in the summer?

Mayor Jenny Durkan had something interesting to say about the Russell Wilson trade rumors. In response to a tweet put out by New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Durkan hit back with one of her own.

“I love you Mayor, but keep your eyes off Russell Wilson. His home is Seattle” read Durkan’s post on the popular social media platform.

Despite all the rumors linking Wilson with a move away, sources from his entourage maintain that he will not force through a trade deal this summer.
