Patrick Mahomes had several reasons to celebrate last night. However, there was one massive reason he owed the entire NFL fanbase an apology. Mahomes has been unapologetic about his brother’s behavior in the past, but this time he has to take a stand. Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of the Chiefs’ quarterback, actually did a TikTok dance while standing on late Washington safety Sean Taylor’s #21 tribute.

Earlier in the season, Jackson poured water on a Baltimore Ravens fan after the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season. Patrick, the older brother, did not apologise amidst claims the Ravens fans initiated the altercation. But this time, both the Mahomes brothers have no excuse.
Or do they? Jackson Mahomes took to Twitter to issue an apology, but added another excuse for it. He wrote, “I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field. We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.”

Was this an accident, or did Jackson forget he was there to pay tribute to a late great? Sean Taylor was one of the best NFL defensive players of all time, who lost his life in a tragic shooting. Washington Football Team retired his #21 jersey and had a #21 displayed on the field. Instead of being a sign of respect to a legend, Jackson Mahomes used it as a dance floor.
For me to even acknowledge Jackson Mahomes he must've done something irredeemably stupid like dancing on the memorial of a beloved player who died prematurely while his family was in attendance on the day they retired his number. I need apologies stat & not just from him. pic.twitter.com/Hw8b2RBVWX

Patrick Mahomes hasn’t commented or apologized for his brother’s actions yet. Many claim it isn’t just the younger brother who should apologize, but some words need to come from the elder one too. Whether he talks or not remains to be seen.

While his fiancee Brittany is always shutting down haters on Twitter, she’s also picked a fight with NFL officiating. On many occasions, she’s claimed calls that should’ve gone in the Chiefs’ favour have gone against them. Similarly, Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, also recently took to Twitter to address her son’s interception woes.
