For Tucker, making the Pro Bowl was inevitable. Just like his other seasons, this year was also pretty eventful for the 32-year-old placekicker. During his Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions, he broke the record for the longest field goal (66-yard) ever scored in NFL history. He did that in the final few seconds of the game to seal a win for the Ravens.

That was the gist of what the beast kicker can do at times of immense pressure. He has shown impressive abilities since the inception of his career in the NFL in 2012. Tucker is now the most accurate placekicker in the NFL all-time.

Justin Tucker on his involvement in trick plays at the Pro Bowl

So while appearing for the fifth Pro Bowl of his career, fans would surely expect the star kicker to do something mesmerizing during the game. When asked about any trick plays that the kicker would involve in, he cautiously replied that he would “neither confirm nor deny” his involvement in any trick plays.

But the very next second he openly denied any involvement in trick plays. “No, I can deny I’m not going to involve myself in any trick plays,” Tucker continued. “There are way too many better athletes out here. Like you’re talking about the cream of the crop.”

“These are all like legitimate all-stars. I don’t want to have a Sean Taylor moment where I just get obliterated by a safety out here. I’m gonna let the other guys take care of that.”

Sean Taylor knocks off Brian Moorman

Justin Tucker emphasized he wouldn’t want to get thrashed by a safety, as good as the NFL legend Sean Taylor especially not in the Pro Bowl game. The game that Tucker was referring to was the 2007 Pro Bowl when safety Sean Taylor gave AFC punter Brian Moorman a knock worth remembering, in an attempt to make a trick play.

The play in question was the third-quarter first down attempt by punter Moorman when the NFC trailed the AFC by 21-14. AFC was in possession of the ball and had to make a 20 yard first down. Bills punter Moorman tried to sneak past the NFC defense. He successfully covered 18 yards of the 20 required, but safety Sean Taylor denied him the 19th.

Moorman was barbarically rocked by Taylor but was a clear tackle. However, Moorman popped right up and shook off the hit like a true hero. But it cannot be denied that the knock was as deadly as it can get.

The legendary Sean Taylor went on to tragically lose his life later that year, but his memorable plays and exceptional tackles still haunt the quarterbacks and punters even to this day.
