Every new year starts with the playoffs race in full gear. This year is no different. While some teams have already booked their berths, many are still struggling to find a way in. Each and every game has the faith of these teams hanging in the balance. Sometimes you can get eliminated while you’re not even playing the game. That is the reason why every win and loss matters throughout the season. The Week 17 game between Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos sealed the faiths of many teams. After the Chargers won, they butchered the playoff hopes of three other clubs. The QB Justin Herbert had an amazing showing.

Chargers vs Broncos Week 17

Many people had their eyes on these four quarters of the AFC action. The support for Denver was on full display. The fans were on the side of their team to keep the playoff hopes alive. Not just Denver, but fans from Miami and Cleveland were also rooting for the Broncos. It was very important for the Broncos to win this game. If they win, they will help many other teams to still be in the race. But if they lose, they’ll crush those dreams.

The Los Angeles Chargers came determined to win. With a touchdown thrown by Justin Herbert in the early minutes of the first half, they made a very strong opening statement. The touchdown disturbed the balance of the Broncos. They could not find their feet in the game. LA was all over them. Denver had no answer for Justin Herbert and the Chargers. By the end of the first half, the score was 3-17. The Broncos made a field goal in the dying seconds of the second quarter. 

This one bit did not affect the Chargers. Herbert continued the dominance, and the game ended 13-34. LA won and crushed the dream of the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos. 

Justin Herbert on breaking Philip Rivers TD record

In the game against the Broncos, Justin Herbert broke Philip Rivers’ single-season touchdown pass record. He has completed 35 TD passes, surpassing the previous record set by Rivers. After the match, he was interviewed about the game. Herbert said, “I think it’s a huge accomplishment, but it doesn’t get done without the teammates.”

 The Chargers are lined up against the Raiders next week. If they win that game as well, nobody can stop them from making it into the playoffs.
