Over the course of his 9-year career, Cam Newton put together one of the greatest stretches of play to ever grace a football field. Now, after a year away from the game, Newton is ready to prove to everyone once again – he’s back like he never left. He let everybody know this through a video he posted on social media.
Newton’s recent announcement on his social media announcing his bid to make a return to the league has sent fans and global media spiralling. For the Panthers legend, a return to the league might be imminent. Despite the fact that he has not played in an NFL game since the end of the 2021 season, he is eager to prove that he still has what it takes to be an elite QB in the league.
Seeds of doubt surround Cam Newton’s return

Cam Newton has been away from the action for over a year despite being healthy. Surely that’s bound to affect his game, right? Well, he certainly doesn’t think so, although the media and fans have not cut the former MVP any slack. To begin with, one of the greatest ever to play, Shannon Sharpe absolutely slaughtered Cam on Undisputed.

The HOF TE, along with co-host Skip Bayless, were ruthless in their evaluation of Cam’s prospective return. They aren’t alone in Cam’s Criticism, however. Pat McAfee too, went in on Newton’s chances at an NFL return.

Even after showing out at Auburn Pro Day, some of the top names across the industry still aren’t ready to believe in Newton’s abilities. Throughout his career, Newton has faced his fair share of criticism and adversity. Despite this, he has remained steadfast in his pursuit of success.
Cam Newton hits back at doubters in the latest video
Cam definitely isn’t phased. In his own video, Cam negated every single one of his doubters. While speaking about his appearance at the Auburn Pro Day, he announced to everyone watching, “Needless to say, today is just to prove the inevitable.”

Cam especially called out everyone who still seek to doubt his playing abilities. “Yeah but he ‘ain’t accurate’ but it’s dudes that got jobs that’s inaccurate than me….It ain’t 32 guys that’s better than me,” he added.

Newton is one of the greatest rushing QBs in NFL history. Having amassed over 5,600 rushing yards and 75 touchdowns in his career, he set the record for the most rushing touchdowns by a QB. If there’s one thing that we’re certain of, Cam is ready to make an impression. But even more importantly, he is ready to silence every doubter.
