Howie Roseman has enabled Philadelphia Eagles to fly high in the NFL. The franchise is coming on the back of a Super Bowl appearance last season and has an incredible roster to actually win it next time. But their general manager isn’t one to rest on his laurels. He went ahead and had a stellar draft this year, adding a talented draft class to an already championship-caliber roster. And that, according to Aaron Rodgers’ favorite media man, hasn’t gone down well with the rest of the NFL GMs.

Pat McAfee is one person who does not hold back from saying what he feels. At the moment, he feels that some NFL GMs are not able to accept the Eagles’ front-office success under Roseman. And he is not saying it only because he feels so. He has a big reason to suspect that.

Pat McAfee didn’t hold back in taking a shot at NFL GMs who, according to reports, are ‘overhearing’ what Howie Roseman has achieved with the Eagles. He criticized them by interpreting what they reportedly told the media in his own way. This is what the former Indianapolis Colts punter suggested they actually wanted to say.

“Yeah I remember just a couple of years ago, he was just a guy who does taxes that’s running the team. We need to get him the hell out of here. Joe Douglas was the guy that did all the sh*t here, why do we have this guy doing this thing?” McAfee said on the ‘Pat McAfee Show.

According to the report, some NFL executives are ‘overhearing’ the praise for Roseman for his work in the draft. Fans are calling him a genius and that might have not gone down well with them.

“He now is the c*ck of the walk, he is the talk of the town, the bell of the ball. And some NFL executives aren’t happy about it,” McAfee added.

The Eagles have seen a tremendous period of rise ever since Roseman took over the front office. They have taken the ‘fly Eagles fly’ chant rather seriously.

The Rise of the Eagles

Howie Roseman is an Eagle through and through. He has been with the franchise in various capacities since 2000 and first became the general manager from 2010 to 2014. He again became the de facto GM in 2016 and the Eagles have been on the rise since. They even won a Super Bowl title in 2018, something they hadn’t done in their entire history. And then came another Super Bowl appearance in 2023.

Ever since the defeat in SB LVII against Kansas City Chiefs, Roseman has been on a mission. First, he gave Jalen Hurts a mammoth contract. Then he drafted big names for the positions he needed in the 2023 draft.
