After a grand jury in Ohio Guernsey Court Common Pleas court indicted the individual on rape and kidnapping charges, the Eagles responded with their plan of action.

Offensive Lineman Joshua Sills was first thrown into public attention when accusations of sexual assault were levelled against him. The reported incident occurred in December 2019. Now, reports state that Sills has been indicted on kidnapping and rape charges. The Eagles released a statement addressing the matter on Wednesday. The team said, “We have been in communication with the league office and are in the process of gathering more information. We have no further comment at this time.” As per the attorney general’s press release, the 25-year-old engaged in non-consensual sexual activity.
He also allegedly held the victim against her will. Stemming from an incident that occurred in 2019, his alleged actions were immediately reported. After an extensive investigation, Sills is currently being prosecuted.

Alongside the Eagles, the league issued a statement concerning Sills
According to the NFL, Joshua Sills was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list. This indicated that the OL would not be permitted to engage in team practices or games. His placement on the list also prohibits him from traveling with the Eagles. The league has also indicated that the matter would be reviewed under their personal conduct policy.
After being signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent, Sills made one appearance this season. The OL was on the field in the team’s 20-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Currently, Sills has been scheduled to make a court appearance on February 16, four days after his team takes on the Chiefs. The franchise has offered no further comment on the matter.
