The second week of the NFL just kicked off with a bout between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles. The two teams come in with contrasting results from their Week 1 match. Minnesota Vikings lost out to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a narrow 20-17 defeat. Whereas, the Eagles narrowly beat the New England Patriots to spoil Tom Brady’s homecoming.
The two teams have different motivations to nab the win against each other, with the Eagles wanting to go 2-0, whereas the Vikings will want to pull their record back to 1-1. Their matchup has already seen a casualty within 10 minutes of the Week 2 kickoff.

The Vikings were hoping to turn the tides around in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it doesn’t seem to be happening for them. Even before they conceded their first points of the game to go 0-3 down. They saw their star safety, Josh Metellus, vulnerable and injured within 10 minutes of the game. He was swarmed by more than 3 Eagles players which ultimately led to the shoulder injury raising questions about his availability.
While charging for the ball, Josh went down compromising his shoulder. The injury has seen him ruled out of the action from the Eagles game with his team up against it. Although it’s still early, the injury does not look good for the team in terms of their morale. They will hope the injury isn’t severe so that he is available in the coming weeks.
