The Buffalo Bills were up against their state compatriots over the weekend. QB Josh Allen and his O-line took on the defense of the New York Jets in an AFC East heavy-duty clash. All four teams in this division have a winning record, hence it was always meant to be a competitive game. The Buffalo team played hosts as they welcomed the Jets to their Bills stadium.

In a closely fought battle, the Western New York team came out on top. The hosts got the dub as they beat the Jets just by 8 points. As the scoreboard read 20-12, the NFL community highlighted an underwhelming performance by inconsistent QB, Allen.

Jets fail to sweep the Bills

This was the second time the two teams met this year. Fortunately for both of them, none of them got the bragging rights to this contest as both share a win each. Their last encounter was a close one, too. Surprisingly, the winning team scored 20 points that time too.

However, it was the Jets that got to celebrate that night. That was also a closely fought game as the Jets, won by a smaller margin at that time. The scoreboard at the end of the game read 20-17 to the Jets. The win this time around, however, will be huge for the Bills as they prepare for their postseason push.

Josh Allen doesn’t let the critics get to him

This time around, the Bills just got by, fortunately. That offense didn’t look like it could cause problems for defenses in the playoffs.

Quarterback, Josh Allen, was sacked three times. He threw the pigskin just for one touchdown and recorded only 147 passing yards. His passing percentage was poor at best as he recorded 59.3% completing just 16 of his attempted 27 passes. As the media got to making the most of his situation, they tried to instigate the QB.

They asked him a provocative question, to which he didn’t fall prey. One of the reporters said the Bills’ offense had a very average outing as he said, “It doesn’t look like an offense that’s good enough to win the Super Bowl right now.” Allen just shrugged off the question by saying “Okay” and getting ahead to the next question.

While it indeed was an average showing by the offense, the media might not want to get ahead of itself. The Jets’ defense has been one of the better D-lines this season. The Bills take on another division team as they play the Dolphins next. They will look to improvise on their offense as they take on the Miami team, which is low on confidence.
