Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are currently the favorites for winning the Super Bowl this year. While the team has lost only one match in six games, their claims seem to grow stronger. Coming off of their bye week, the Bills will be gearing up to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday this week. As two of the top quarterbacks go against each other in this match-up. Aaron Rodgers might taste some of his own medicine. According to Allen, there are a few tricks that he has learned from the 38-year-old himself.

Whereas, Rodgers is looking down a tunnel of disappointment this year. In contrast to his troubles, Allen has found life much happier. The Bills have a record of 5-1, which is exactly what was expected from them after a great offseason. While the two quarterbacks will face each other on this Sunday Night Football. The 26-year-old quarterback has revealed how Aaron Rodgers helped him improve his game. In a recent interview on NBC, the star explained how he adopted a few tricks of the former back-to-back MVP. “Every once in a while I do the Aaron Rodgers’ foot pop,” revealed Allen.

What did Josh Allen steal from Aaron Rodgers?

Allen admitted that he would not really be able to tell the exact reason why he does it. But further added that it really helped him open up his body to a more appropriate passing angle. He believes the ‘little pop’ helps him open up and make the throws more easily.

“I’m throwing on my left and I’m just closed. That little pop allows me to rotate and get as open as I can be there,” explained Allen. And when asked if this was something that he stole from Rodgers, he replied, “Yeah, basically “.

Since his entry into the league in 2018, the Buffalo Bills‘ quarterback has made enormous improvements to his game. Now venturing into his 5th season in the NFL, the league considers the player to be a front-runner for the MVP race this season. In 6 games, he has thrown for 1980 yards and 17 touchdowns, while also adding a further 257 yards by rushing. He has his career-high of 67.5% completion rate this season as well.

The player, who was the 7th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, has turned some heads after his dominant performances these past couple of years. Those who have followed the player’s progression would not be surprised at this news. As Allen himself admitted before even being drafted that he likes to model his game after Rodgers.
