The Josh Allen injury update
Josh Allen injured his throwing arm in the dying moments of the loss against the Jets. The Jets’ defensive end Bryce Huff sacked Allen on a late second down during the Bills’ final offensive drive, injuring his throwing arm in the process. Though Allen completed the unsuccessful drive for two more plays, he looked uncomfortable doing so, especially during the third down attempt.
#Bills QB Josh Allen, who has a history of UCL sprain in 2018, appeared to suffer another UCL sprain on this play very late in the game. Threw a nice deep ball right after, but was shaking out the elbow/may have been dealing w some nerve stretch symptoms. Injury to watch this wk. pic.twitter.com/61nLQO1cw1

After the game, the Bills HC Sean McDermott talked to the media about Allen’s injury status.
“I’m aware of it, but as far as I know, he’s still being evaluated,” McDermott said. The Bills HC also added that he hadn’t yet talked to the medical staff on the issue.
Allen said though there was a slight pain in the arm, he will get through it, hinting he might be available for the game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Josh Allen, who has been phenomenal this season, didn’t look to be his best at MetLife Stadium. He completed just 18 of his 34 pass attempts. The Jets’ defense intercepted two of his passes. Though he did not throw a passing touchdown in the game, he showed his rushing side of the game. The Bills QB scored two rushing touchdowns. The team got five points from field goal attempts. But it wasn’t enough as the Bills lost 20-17.

The Bills sit at the top of the AFC East divisional table. They have the same number of wins as the second-placed Jets but have played one game less. The Bills will next take on the 7-1 Minnesota Vikings in Week 10. They would like to continue their perfect record against non-divisional rivals. But the Vikings have lost just once this season and it is poised to be the one to watch next week. But the question remains, will Josh Allen be a part of it?
