A surprise for some, but many saw this coming from a mile away. The Buffalo Bills have knocked the New England Patriots out of the playoffs. The Bill offense put together a record-breaking performance. They became the first team in NFL history to score a touchdown from the first possessions. By the end of the game, it seemed like they were just toying with the Patriots. They also became the first team to score a touchdown in every one of their first seven drives. The quarterback Josh Allen was out of this world today.

The impressive performance of Josh Allen

Josh Allen completed 21 of his 25 passes for 308 yards. And made a Bills’ playoffs record by scoring five touchdowns. The tight end Dawson Knox also made a record. He became the first TE in the history of the NFL by making two touchdown catches in the first quarter.

The game ended with a dominating 30 point difference. The Bills defeated the Patriots with a score of 47-17. It is safe to say that Buffalo embarrassed New England. The historic night for the Bills came at New England’s expense. This momentum will fire them up for their next game. 

NFL Twitter reacts to New England Patriots being knocked out

After the history-making game, the fans took it to Twitter. Many were still in disbelief at what they had just seen. Others were more like ‘I told you so.’ But everyone was giving Josh Allen the respect he deserves. The buzzes on Twitter never seemed to calm down. The Buffalo Bills are focused on their next game. But the fans are still celebrating after sending the New England Patriots packing.

The game broke a few records, but the playoffs have only just begun for Josh Allen and the Bills. Knocking out the Patriots so early on is not something to be taken lightly. But the Bills cannot afford to get too distracted with the win. They need to focus on their next challenge. Their second wild-card opponents are still unknown. So Buffalo has to be ready for anything. The teams will be hungrier in the second round. The Bills are trying to stay focused and they are also trying to keep their eyes on the prize.
