But while Hurts has been the rockstar of the team on the field, Mailata got his own moment as a rockstar as he set the stage on fire while celebrating his momentous day.

From the upside down to Philly: Mailata’s journey to NFL

While many talents in the league have always pursued football as their profession, Mailata’s journey is quite different. Hailing from Australia, the 26-year-old OT started off his career as a Rugby Player. However, fate had something else in store for him.

Mailata was scouted by the Philadelphia Eagles when they discovered his immense potential during the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. Despite having no prior experience in American football, Mailata embraced the opportunity with open arms. Since then, he has dedicated himself to mastering the sport. His incredible work ethic, coupled with his exceptional physical attributes, has made him a force that opposing defenses have to fear on a day-to-day basis.
