The Minnesota Vikings added another WR in the 2023 draft alongside their star, WR Justin Jefferson. Last season, this rookie played with the USC Trojans in the college football league, alongside QB Caleb Williams. And in his only season with the Trojans, the Vikings’ 2023 first-round pick had 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns in 11 games. And with this performance, he went ahead to declare himself for the 2023 NFL draft.

But unfortunately, this rookie WR of the Vikings already finds himself in legal trouble while yet to make a debut in the NFL. A few days back, police cited him for his reckless actions on the road. And now, this rookie has come forward to make a formal apology and realize the mistake he made.

The Vikings drafted 21-year-old WR Jordan Addison as their 23rd overall pick in this year’s Draft. But while he’s still yet to make his first appearance for the team, Addison is already making headlines. On Thursday Morning, troopers stopped the rookie WR on Interstate 94. He was driving a Lamborghini Urus going 140mph in a 55mph zone. This led to Jordan Addison receiving citations for speeding and reckless driving. After the incident, the team released a statement shortly after stating that they were aware of the incident and were “gathering more information.”

And now, Jordan Addison has come forward to issue a formal apology on Friday night through the media. According to the statement released by the 21-year-old, he said, “Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment. I recognize and own that and I am going to learn from this and not repeat this behavior. I am truly sorry.” Jordan Addison was selected to add depth behind Jefferson in the WR position after the team released Adam Thielen. And while fans will be expecting to see great things from the rookie in the coming days, this incident already puts him under scrutiny.

Australian author Nick Adams received public praise from Trump for his book, Green Card Warrior, while Trump was still the President of America. Earlier this year, he made headlines after tweeting about the hypothetical situation and the sequence of the 12 LIV Golf Teams according to Trump’s preference for sponsorships. Adams has now stepped forward to strongly condemn Jordan Addison for what he did on Thursday morning. In a tweet shared by the author, he said that the rookie is a “thug” who “should be rotting in jail”. Adams further went on to talk about how reckless driving is a “serious crime”, and that Addison should face the consequences of his actions accordingly.
