Experienced NFL TE Darren Waller was one of the standout performers for the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week. The former Baltimore Ravens man starred in the 34-24 win over the New Orleans Saints.

This was the Raiders’ first game on the grounds of their new state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium after moving out of Oakland. Head Coach Jon Gruden ran onto the pitch to celebrate with his players after pulling off a major upset.

The Raiders remain unbeaten in the league after Week Two, and a lot of that had to do with Waller’s display on Monday night.

Raiders’ Darren Waller put in a statement performance against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. The 28-year-old had 12 receptions and led the team in receiving yards (103) and also registered one passing touchdown.

Here’s what Head Coach Jon Gruden said about his star player. “Darren’s a great player. Our job is to try to get him the ball. Ive said it before. I don’t know if I’ve said it to you, but I’d take him out of any of the tight ends.

“And I know (George) Kittle and (Travis) Kelce are as good as they get, but Waller’s right up there with them. This is his second year playing the position. It’s astonishing what this man can do.”

Waller and Co. will have no time to sit back and enjoy this win. A tough game against the New England Patriots awaits the Raiders in Week Three. Let’s hope they stick to the basics and continue on this dream start to their 2020 NFL campaign.
