Cincinnati Bengals saw a miraculous comeback after Joe Burrow took the reins and rallied from a 14 point deficit in the first half to beat the Jaguars 24-21 on Thursday night.
Burrow proved that he never succumbs to pressure. In fact, he thrives on it, as he led the Bengals on four straight scoring drives. Burrow finished 25-of-32 passes with a passing completion of 78.1% for 348 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

He shines bright on situations of intense pressure that even his teammates cannot help but applaud his feat. “That’s him,” Tyler Boyd said after the game. “He gets better and better as pressure comes on. As games go later and later, he gets better and better. We feed off that and we feel it.”
His crazy displays in some coercive instances have earned him a hilarious nickname among his teammates. As they call him by the name ‘Joey Franchise’.

“I think I’ve gotten better and better each week. Last week the defense played so well that I didn’t have to do a lot,” Burrow said. “And then tonight, there’s gonna be games like that where you have to step up and make plays. I’m really happy with my performance tonight. I’m just going to keep building on this and getting better and better.”

Burrow may have a bright future ahead
After returning from a gruesome knee injury, this has been his fourth game so far. However, with his Thursday’s performance against the Jaguars, it might have given a clear indication of what the 24-year-old QB can achieve. And post-game Burrow became the third player ever to receive a game ball from head coach Zac Taylor for obvious reasons.
His teammates are all praises for the rookie quarterback and his exceptional talent is not only one of the best in the franchise, but he might also emerge as one of the best NFL players of all time in his career up ahead.
