For the last few weeks, since the Green Bay Packers failed to qualify for the postseason this year, Aaron Rodgers has been getting quite the nudging from New York Jets players to join the Gang Green. However, one former Jets legend is staunchly against the idea of A-Rod dawning the New York Green.
The Newly elected Hall of Famer does not think that the Super Bowl XLV MVP is a good fit for the Jets organization. Both on-field and in the locker room. He thinks Aaron Rodgers’ attitude when things go bad can be cancerous for the growth of the young Jets core.

Joe Klecko made his Aaron Rodgers feelings crystal clear after the former defensive lineman got his Hall of Fame nods. According to his interview with the New York Post’s Steve Serby, Klecko thinks A-Rod will be a significant “detriment” to the young Jets group locker room.

“I really do. He [Aaron Rodgers] has that condescending attitude about ‘Why did you give up the route? Don’t stop.’ When you know all these things, and you can help somebody, yeah. But he doesn’t do it like that,” Klecko told Serby. “When things don’t go right, I can’t see Aaron Rodgers being a guy that gives a sh–t. I just can’t see it,” Klecko added.
Joe also compared 39-year-old Rodgers’ leadership skills to recently retired Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady. When TB12 joined the Buccaneers, he had called up every player and indulged in motivating telephonic conversations, leading to a Lombardi that year. And Klecko doesn’t see Rodgers doing that.
This isn’t the only time Aaron Rodgers has faced heat from Klecko
The New York Jets officially expressed their interest in acquiring the 4x NFL MVP’s services this offseason, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Former Jets Super Bowl winner and QB icon Joe Namath showed his support and even vouched to give Aaron his legendary No 12 Namath jersey. And despite Joe Klecko feeling that Aaron Rodgers could ruin the Jets’ youth chemistry, the Gang Green rookies have been sending their cryptic signals and surely want Broadway Aaron.
And Klecko reiterated his thoughts in a conversation with Zach Gelb on CBS Sports Radio.

“I just can’t see them going after a guy that has had all his years and had his way. And then, when it doesn’t turn out his way, he goes dark. I just can’t see it,” Joe said before bringing up Jets Offensive Rookie of the Year, Garrett Wilson. “I can’t see him coming back to the huddle and Rodgers lambasting him for running the wrong route. It’s not gonna fit. I don’t see it,” he added.
