Joe Burrow suffered a pretty brutal knee injury in his first NFL season
The Bengals quarterback was on his way to winning the Rookie of the Year award in his first season. But sadly, an unfortunate knee injury took him out of commission for a while. The Washington Football Team was the opponent of the Bengals in week 11 of the 2020 season.
During the third quarter of the game, Joe Burrow suffered a devastating knee injury, where the LSU alumni tore his ACL. Multiple ligaments in Burrow’s knee were damaged along with the ACL. An injury like this takes at least 9-12 months to recover from.
After undergoing reconstructive knee surgery, Burrow was expected to return quickly. He was only given 8-9 short months to recover. With the help of physical therapy, the QB was able to do it. Burrow returned from injury earlier this season in September. With every passing week, the quarterback kept on getting better and better. The Bengals have won the AFC title, and now they are heading to the Super Bowl.
