The Cincinnati Bengals franchise has some really interesting yet highly confident players within their ranks like QB Joe Burrow. He has been a revelation in the NFL this season and has been a crucial player in their run to the AFC Championship game. But Burrow recently did reveal another interesting entity within their roster with sky-high confidence. Burrow recently did reveal that person to be Bengals rookie kicker Evan McPherson.

Burrow revealed that the rookie kicker nicknamed ‘Money Mac’ did call the game while warming up for the decisive field goal attempt. The Bengals QB states, “He was talking to Brandon (Allen) as he was going out to kick, gave a little warm-up swing, and said, ‘Looks like we’re going to the AFC championship game.’ ”
The calm and composure that is in need for a role that McPherson represents match his actions. The rookie did end up making the field goal emphatically to propel them into a position with Super Bowl weekend only a win away.

Joe Burrow mentality mirroring McPherson
It really was appropriate that McPherson got to have the final say on this game. It was ‘Money Mac’ who did convert 3 field goal opportunities to give Cincinnati the lead for the first half. The young rookie did state that he enjoys the responsibility on his shoulders and to help lead his team to the win. He really was worth every penny during their outing against a tough Titans team.

The Bengals QB Joe Burrow was full of praise for the young and confident kicker who was already in his good books. The job description for a kicker is really all about oozing self-confidence in his abilities and McPherson surely fits the bill. Burrow was really impressed by how the rookie did carry him during their training sessions together.

The kicker was also someone who did make coach Zac Taylor confident in his abilities. If the young rookie does continue and lead his team to an AFC Championship then McPherson could really be a special youngster. Now the Bengals await the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills game to play in a championship game for the first time since 1988.
