Joe Burrow, the talented quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, may be charting a different course than his counterpart Justin Herbert. Darlington believes that there is a possibility that Burrow’s contract could resemble Patrick Mahomes’ deal with the Chiefs.

Darlington was featured on the popular “The Rich Eisen Show” where he shared, “When Burrow made the comments that I have made clear to the organization of the contract, I want and I think it would be best for the team and myself moving forward. Um to me that says we I’m guessing here, I just think the tone of that I’m curious to see if this winds up being more like a Patrick Mahomes deal.” 

Mahomes signed a 10-year contract in 2020 with the Chiefs, and that draws him an average of $45 million a year. Moreover, Darlington suggests that Burrow may be the only quarterback, aside from Mahomes, who would entertain such an arrangement. However, fans eagerly await the outcome of these negotiations, and what Joe Burrow has in store for the Bengals in the 2023 NFL season.
