Joe Burrow is all the rage right now. The level-headed Bengals QB has not missed a beat during this season as he looks to bring a Lombardi to the Bengals. In an unsurprising revelation, the 25-year-old Heisman winner said he is “chasing Aaron Rodgers to be the best.

The Cincinnati Bengals are set to take on the LA Rams in the Super Bowl on Sunday. During a media availability before the Super Bowl LVI, Burrows talked about the quarterbacks he aims to be like. He named Aaron Rodgers and added Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes to his list of elite QBs.

Chasing Aaron Rodgers should be a tall task for any player in the NFL. The man has been on top of his game for over a decade now and still comes back strong every year. Even this year, Rodgers won his 4th MVP after leading the Packers to a 13-4 record in the regular season.

But given Joe’s calm composure and ability to stay level-headed in tough situations, Burrow’s aim doesn’t seem far-fetched.

Burrow does not look like someone who gets excited and makes unrealistic comparisons. He comes across as a self-aware person who has had to overcome self-doubt to be confident in his abilities. And his confidence seems to be permeating towards his teammates as well.

Joe Burrow will require all his strength this Sunday

In the upcoming Super Bowl against the mean defensive line of the Rams, all his wits will be put to use. The Bengals O-line stands at the 3rd position when it comes to sacks allowed with 55 sacks allowed by them this season.

On the other hand, the Rams D-line, lead by none other than Aaron Donald himself, is the biggest challenge the 25-year-old Heisman winner has faced yet.

The Bengals O-line will have to understand the importance of protecting Joe if they want to bring the Lombardi home. Aaron Donald is only one part of the Rams’ defensive prowess and their defensive side is rife with great talent.

Interestingly, some of the players from the Rams have appreciated the young QB on his calm composure and seem impressed by what he has accomplished. It is rare to see young QBs getting the respect of star opposing players, this early in their careers.
