Ian Rapoport said, “The only team right now who seems to want to be in the QB mix is the Carolina Panthers.” He also revealed that Garoppolo’s recovery period would affect his trade market.
Ian Rapoport believes if an injury happens to a quarterback of any team, then Jimmy G’s demand will increase. As a result, the San Francisco 49ers will have good leverage over it. The 49ers can also get some good assets in return for trading Garoppolo.
On the other hand, if the Carolina Panthers are serious about pursuing Jimmy Garoppolo, they’ll need to take care of some things. Jimmy G is likely to start throwing in two weeks. He hasn’t thrown for four months due to his shoulder surgery. If the Panthers want to make him their starting quarterback, they’ll need him to be 100% healthy.
