Jimmy Garoppolo Takes Massive Shot at 49ers in Shocking Statement: “I Just Want to Go to a Place Where They Want to Win”

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo has been a divisive figure in the franchise fanbase. The QB made the news in recent years because of links with a move away from San Francisco. The 2-time Super Bowl champion was supposed to be a big game player and leader but choked during the biggest game of their season. He was quoted saying, “Was talking to John (Lynch) yesterday just about finding the right destination and whatever the future holds, just doing it the right way… I just want to go to a place where they want to win, that’s really what I’m in this game for.”

The answers to the questions seemed to be of someone who was already out. Jimmy came across as someone who was reminiscing his four years and remembering his better moments. He left the door open as a player in the NFL who knows situations can change quickly.

The time might be now for the Niners organization to move away from Jimmy G and focus on developing Trey Lance. Lance is a young, talented QB who might be someone Shanahan will look to rope into the squad quickly. It will be benefit both the franchise and Jimmy G, who seem to show their separation to be a foregone conclusion.
