The Niners would have to examine whether they ought to revere Samuel’s appeal, as doubtful as it may appear. Garoppolo has indeed been reluctant to push, but pairing him alongside Samuel would allow him to be moved to another location while also generating some cap space for San Francisco. In the last year of his contract, Samuel will earn $4.89 million, while Garoppolo’s cap charge is at $26.95 million.
