Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyle Shanahan, and the 49ers, despite the setbacks, were able to knock the Cowboys out. They defeated Dallas with a score of 23-17. The game became close in the dying minutes, but San Francisco triumphed in the end.

Jimmy Garoppolo sprained his shoulder in the wild-card round
The QB Jimmy Garoppolo had a lot on his plate on Sunday. He already had a torn ligament in his right thumb. But during the match, Garoppolo also sprained his right shoulder. On Monday, the 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan gave a status update on Jimmy G’s shoulder. The HC said that the sprain is slight rather than severe. He expects to see the quarterback back on practice and be on the field this week. Shanahan also revealed that Garoppolo sustained the injury in the second quarter.

During the game against the Cowboys, Jimmy completed 16 of his 25 pass attempts for 172 yards. He got zero interceptions as well as touchdowns. His accuracy seems to have struggled from time to time. But eventually, the 49ers pulled one over on the Cowboys. It was a close game, and Garoppolo almost handed Dallas a late win. He called for a snap which got tackle Trent Williams a flag for a false start.
The 49ers next big wild-card opponents
Playoffs have just begun for San Francisco. The Cowboys game was tough, but what is to come next will require maximum effort. The 49ers are set to face the number one seed-holding Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The second-round playoffs game in the NFC division on Saturday will be wild.
