San Francisco 49ers’ starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo may have some difficulties because he needs to keep off the field to deal with the strain on his shoulder. The injury occurred during San Francisco’s wild-card victory over the Dallas Cowboys. This might not change his trade status, though. The 49ers might trade him to another club, as the athlete’s contract extension is only good for another year.

Recent reports suggest that many teams have eyes on Jimmy Garoppolo. However, the latest setback may affect the value of the athlete. Garoppolo’s contract deal; which he signed in 2018 and made him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL that year, has one year left on it. His no-trade clause is set to expire on the same day as the official trade window opens up.

Jimmy Garoppolo can be an outstanding leader for a franchise looking for a quarterback with extensive experience. He has been on 2 Super Bowl Winning teams and played for the premier teams in the NFL. This likely garners interest from many smaller teams. However, a team must be patient with Jimmy G’s recent damage on the throwing shoulder. The road back to the gridiron is not an easy one. In the end, the former Patriot’s future will be decided when the trading officially begins.
