The reigning Super Bowl champion Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to return this week, and it seems the Cowboys have made their intentions clear. Just a few hours into Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy making comments about OBJ, Ezekiel Elliott joined the conversation, vocalizing his interest in playing alongside the star athlete.

The Packers, New York Giants, and LA Rams were speculated as the potential landing spots for OBJ; however, the recent development suggests that the Cowboys happen to be the front-runners.

Ahead of the trade deadline that ended on November 1, Jones and Co. were reportedly looking for wide receivers in the market. Brandin Cooks from Houston Texans and Jerry Jeudy from the Broncos were some of the prospects under the Cowboys’ radar, but unfortunately, the deal couldn’t come to fruition.

Thus, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the franchise and OBJ make an agreement, especially when they are 6-2 this season after Week 9. Beckham’s inclusion will help them bolster their offensive corps eying for the Super Bowl title.

Meanwhile, speaking to the reporters, star Running Back Ezekiel Elliott expressed his interest in playing alongside the veteran. “We know what type of player Odell is. We know how explosive he can be and what he could bring to this offense. It would be great to get him down here in Dallas… He would definitely fit in this locker room. We want OBJ.” Elliott said, per Jon Machota of the Athletic.

Similarly, Jones explained his interest in calling OBJ a great ‘competitor’. “I know the Cowboys star on that helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good,” Jones mentioned when asked about OBJ and his future at Dallas.

Cowboys’ fans have started chants of Odell Beckham Jr. for the second half

Back when the star WR was playing for the Giants, he mentioned his interest in the team because of his family. They apparently happen to be Cowboys fans, and OBJ going to Dallas will help him get close to his natives.

Meanwhile, others just couldn’t believe that thus might actually happen.

Moreover, fans believe that it’s Jerry’s call to make this happen.

Currently, the Cowboys are second in the NFL East behind the undisputed Eagles. The inclusion of OBJ will give them an immense amount of brute force in the depth chart. Will Jerry Jones take that shot? What do you think?
