Jerry Jones is undeniably the luckiest person to get hold of the Dallas Cowboys. He changed the franchise’s fortune, making it the most valuable team in the world. Jones once was in a fatal accident, but luckily came out of it with minor scratches. Recently, he revealed some details about the accident and credits his prosperity to coming out of it safely. However, he was unlucky in one aspect.

In May 2022, Jerry Jones was involved in a fatal accident in Dallas. The emergency crews then got to the scene and took him to the hospital for precautionary measures. The Cowboys President/GM reportedly suffered minor injuries but came out of the hospital safely.

Jerry Jones begins the media briefing during the franchise’s training camp in Oxnard, California, on Tuesday. He mentioned his accident while talking about a variety of topics. He considers himself fortunate to have survived the mishap.

As per Clarence Hill Jr. from the Star-Telegram, Jerry Jones opens up saying, “I was not injured. I was shaken up quite a bit. Had I been the passenger, I could have gotten hurt in this deal. But I got shook up a little. Had a couple of shins that were scraped up. And a knot on my head. So that is why I went to the hospital.”

However, the person in the other gray Hyundai Sonata, the one who T-boned him, is suing the Cowboys’ owner.

According to the Dallas police report via Sports Illustrated, the DoorDash driver had to turn left onto Wolf Street. The vehicle made a wrong turn from the far right lane after slowing down at the crossroads, placing him on Jones’s route.

Jerry Jones addressed the inevitable quandary on everyone’s mind in terms of head coach Mike McCarthy during the Tuesday media briefing. The Cowboys President/GM proclaims, “I want to be real clear: He wouldn’t be sitting here today if I didn’t think he was the man to lead this team to a Super Bowl. He would not be, and I have choices. So that’s not meant to be insensitive to anybody. That’s a fact.”

Jones’ statement provides a sign that he believes in Mike McCarthy and that there are no issues surrounding his job. The HC’s season two in Dallas was a delight after winning the NFC East. However, the franchise’s first-round postseason exit was a setback. Hopefully, the only way for HC Mike to silence the naysayers is to make the chase for the Super Bowl and end the drought this year.
