The Cowboys used Instagram and Twitter as a medium to showcase the pictures. This is the second time in the past two months that DCC is releasing bikini-clad photographs, which are undoubtedly amassing more followers than ever.

Certainly, fans couldn’t resist their excitement watching the summer beauties in exotic swimsuits. Moreover, Jerry Jones’ plan of waking up those hibernated fans seems to bear fruits.

Although the Cowboys were disappointing the fans through their poor playoff performance in the past two seasons, it seems the cheerleading squad is healing those wounds and keeping the followers of the sport intact to the franchise.

Why are the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders so popular?

One of the prime reasons behind this notion is that the NFL’s first cheerleading squad was introduced by the Dallas Cowboys when Tex Schramm was the general manager of the franchise in the early 1960s and 1970s.

Even though Cheerleading was a part of high school culture, at the professional level, this idea was not incorporated.

The first squad was introduced in the early 1960s, filled with attractive local men and women from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They were known as “CowBelles & Beaux,” however, couldn’t succeed much in seeking public attention.

This failure didn’t stop Schramm from executing his plans. Again, in 1967, he re-imagined the attire of cheerleaders after being awestruck by the fan following of a local stripper, Bubbles Cash.

He adopted a similar style and suits for his cheerleaders and sacked all the men from the squad. That’s how modern-day America’s Sweethearts came into existence.
